NHL Draft eligible forwards
Teddy Mutryn (Chicago Steel),
Matthew Lansing (Fargo Force) and
Ben Kevan (Des Moines Buccaneers) have been named to the U.S. 25-man roster for the 2025 IIIF World U18 Championships April 23-May 3 in Frisco & Allen, Texas, USA Hockey announced Tuesday.
Mutryn, Lansing and Kevan join members of the NTDP U18 team as the U.S. seeks gold for the second time in the last three years and first time since 2009 as a host nation. NTPD U18 Head Coach Greg Moore will lead the coaching staff, which includes Chicago Steel Head & General Manager Mike Garman, who will serve as an assistant for the Americans.
Mutryn finished his USHL rookie season with 30 points and 71 penalty minutes in 47 games for the Steel. The Norwell, Mass. native finished second among Chicago’s rookie scorers, while also earning a point and an assist in eight games with the NTDP U18 team. The Boston College commit helped the U.S. to a championship at the 2024 World Junior A Challenge and is ranked 59
th among North American skaters on NHL Central Scouting’s final rankings for the 2025 NHL Draft.
After playing 11 USHL games last season, Lansing returned to the league where he played 40 games with the Waterloo Black Hawks, 14 with the Fargo Force and six with the NTDP. He finished with 28 points and a +15 rating in 60 games. The Tonawanda, New York native and Quinnipiac commit is ranked 175th among North American skaters on NHL Central Scouting's final rankings for the 2025 NHL Draft.
Kevan recorded 43 points in 51 games during his second full USHL season. The Fairfield, Calif. native led the Buccaneers in assists and finished third in team scoring. He represented the U.S. at the 2024 World Junior A Challenge and is ranked 55
th among North American skaters on NHL Central Scouting’s final draft ranking. Kevan is committed to Arizona State University.
