With eight teams in action across the United States Hockey League (USHL), six of them flipped the script on Saturday by rebounding from losses against the same opponent on Friday with two points in the standings.

By the Numbers

3 – Goals scored by Rudy Berzkalns (Muskegon Lumberjacks) and Alex Pelletier (Lincoln Stars). Pelletier had a natural hat trick in Lincoln's first win of the season. Berzkalns' trifecta helped the Lumberjacks to a 6-0 win against the NTDP U17 team.

12 – Players had multi-goal performances during an eight-game slate, including Cooper Conway, Teddy Merrill and Masun Fleece from the Fighting Saints.

14 – Points in the standings for Dubuque and Muskegon. The teams are tied at the top of the Eastern Conference, but the Fighting Saints have played one fewer game. Dubuque scored big on Saturday, winning 11-4 against Chicago.

43  - Combined saves made by William Keane (Muskegon Lumberjacks) and William Prowse (Lincoln Stars), who both posted shutouts.

79 - Games in the USHL for Sam Rinzel, who played for the Waterloo Black Hawks from 2021-2023 and scored his first NHL goal for the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday.

About the USHL

The United States Hockey League (USHL) and its 16 teams are committed to being the world's leading 16–to 20-year-old junior hockey league. During the 2024-25 season, USHL alumni held over 50% of NCAA Division I roster spots, and over 25% of NHL players had USHL experience. With 10 first-round selections and 49 total picks in the 2024 NHL Draft, the USHL has developed the most draft choices of any junior hockey league since 2012.

Elevated through the recently announced Declaration of Excellence with the NHL and USA Hockey, the league's player-first approach, including a 2:1 practice-to-game ratio and a schedule with 92% of games played on weekends, provides its players with the optimal environment for athletic and personal growth, creating pathways for the next generation of stars like Kyle Connor (Youngstown Phantoms), Macklin Celebrini (Chicago Steel), Matthew Knies (Tri-City Storm), Adam Fantilli (Chicago Steel) and Jeremy Swayman (Sioux Falls Stampede). More.
