The Chicago Steel finished the weekend strong with a 3-2 win over the Waterloo Black Hawks. Chicago forward
Adyn Merrick started the scoring off at 9:56 in the first. Waterloo came back in the second with two goals scored by
James Russell and
Cullen Emery. Ending in a gritty third-period game, a top-shelf goal was scored by Steel forward
James Scantlebury. This win for Chicago allowed the Des Moines Buccaneers to officially clinch a playoff spot.
