The NTDP cooled off a hot Green Bay team, getting the 8-1 win at the Resch Center on Friday. The 18’s scored in each period and were one-for-four on the power play.
Sammy Nelson led all skaters with two goals.
After going down 6-2 after one period to Cedar Rapids, Sioux City completed the comeback late in the third period with a go-ahead goal from
Pavel Martinu. The Musketeers surrendered the lead minutes later, only to force overtime and a shootout. Martinu did the unthinkable again, beating
Ryan Cameron for the extra point. With the 8-7 win, Sioux City clinched a playoff berth.
Muskegon took a 1-0 lead into the second period, but Lincoln scored five goals in the last two frames to get the 5-2 win.
Nikolas Young and
Alex Pelletier led the way with a goal and an assist. With the win, the Stars also punched their ticket to the postseason.
Tri-City was down two goals to Sioux Falls when the Storm got back-to-back shorthanded goals from
Brecken Smith and
Bode Laylin to enter the third tied up. The Stampede scored four unanswered goals in the final 20 minutes to go on to win 6-3. Although they didn’t pick up the win, Tri-City earned a spot in the postseason.
Youngstown got off to a quick start in the first period, taking a 3-1 lead into intermission.
Michael Tang scored his ninth of the year to get Madison within one in the second.
Ryan Rucinski’s empty net goal put the game away late as the Phantom's skated to the 4-2 victory.
Omaha got two goals in the first and second periods and went on to beat Fargo 5-2 on the road.
Kole Hyles scored two goals, and
Devin Shakar turned away 49 of 51 shots.
Chicago took a 2-0 lead over Waterloo after one, only to watch the Black Hawks knot things up after with two of their own in the middle period. The Steel would add three goals in the final frame to go on to win 5-2.
Jackson Crowder led all skaters in scoring with a goal and four assists.
Dubuque scored two in the first, added another in the second, and two in the third to get the 5-1 win over Des Moines.
Dante Josefsson-Westling and
Colin Frank both had a pair of goals.
