Kouhia, Lutner, Hrenak Named Players of the Week

Lauri Kouhia, Logan Lutner, and Sam Hrenak have been named United States Hockey League (USHL) Players of the Week for games played on or between Monday, September 28 and Sunday, October 4.

Lauri Kouhia, F, Fargo Force
Hometown: Hyvinkaa, Finland
  • Tied for the scoring among skaters last week with three goals and one assist in Fargo's sweep at Youngstown.
  • Scored the game-winning goal early in the third period of the Force's 6-4 win against the Phantoms on Friday.
  • Assisted on Fargo's first goal of the game, then scored back-to-back goals to put his team ahead 3-0 in an 11:03 span on Saturday. The Force won 4-0.
  • Finished the weekend with a +4 rating, tied for second-best among USHL skaters last week.
Logan Lutner, D, Madison Capitols
Hometown: Maple Grove, Minn.
NCAA Commitment: University of Minnesota-Duluth
  • Scored his first goal of the season to put Madison ahead 3-1 in the second period of its eventual 6-3 loss to Muskegon on Friday.
  • Scored twice to tie Saturday's game, helping the Capitols to a 4-3 shootout win in Muskegon.
  • Lutner is on a three-game point streak with three goals and one assist.
Sam Hrenak, G, Fargo Force
Hometown: Povazska Bystrica, Slovakia
NCAA Commitment: University of Minnesota-Duluth
NHL Rights: Winnipeg Jets
  • Posted a 2-0-0-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL) record with a 2.00 goals-against average and a .942 save percentage in two games last weekend.  
  • Turned aside 29 of 33 shots in Fargo's 6-4 win on Friday, then recorded a 36-save shutout in the Force's 4-0 win on Saturday. His shutout marked the second of his 14-game career, which began in February 2026.
