2025 USHL Player Development Series

  • Phase II Combine (2007 & 2008 Birth Years): April 17-20, 2025
  • Phase I Combine (2009 & 2010 Birth Years): May 1-4, 2025
  • Player Development Combine (2011 & 2012 Birth Years): July 17-20, 2025

Cullen will attend and present at the Phase II Combine, while Gregory will do the same at the Phase I Combine.

“The USHL has put a lot of resources into its product, and its showing,” Cullen said on NHL Draft Class in May 2024. “The USHL is a must-see league and it’s a must-see league for kids to try to get to. They’ve made a commitment to stepping up their commitment to the players.”

The Phase I and Phase II combines give USHL and NCAA personnel opportunities to evaluate talent before the USHL Draft on May 5-6. This year, more than 1,000 players born between 2007-2012 are expected to attend the Phase I, Phase II and Player Development combines.

Players interested in attending must complete the USHL Player Questionnaire. All participants are pre-screened and scouted by the league’s central scouting staff before receiving an invitation.

Now in their 15th year, USHL Combines provide prospects with a platform to showcase their skills in front of league personnel while learning about the USHL player development path.

About the USHL

The United States Hockey League and its 16 member clubs are committed to being the leading 16–20-year-old junior hockey league in the world. More than half of Division I men’s hockey roster spots are held by USHL alumni and more than 195 alumni were listed on NHL rosters at the start of the 2024-25 season.

The league's player-first approach, including a 2:1 practice-to-game ratio and a schedule with 92% of games played on weekends, provides its players with the optimal environment for athletic and personal growth, creating pathways for the next generation of stars like Kyle Connor (Youngstown Phantoms), Macklin Celebrini (Chicago Steel), Cole Caufield (NTDP), Adam Fantilli (Chicago Steel) and Jeremy Swayman (Sioux Falls Stampede). More.
