The United States Hockey League today announced it has retained Glenn Adamo, a Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame inductee and five-time Sports Emmy Award winner, as its Media & Broadcasting Strategy Advisor.

Adamo will work with USHL leadership and member clubs to strengthen broadcast production, develop content and distribution opportunities, and shape a long-term media strategy that brings greater visibility to the League’s players, teams and communities.

“The quality of our broadcasts and the way we tell our story should reflect the quality of the hockey on the ice,” said USHL President and Commissioner Glenn Hefferan. “Glenn brings extraordinary experience, a deep understanding of our sport and a clear vision for where sports media is going. He will be a tremendous resource for our clubs as we improve the viewing experience, reach new audiences and build greater value for the League and our partners.”

Adamo brings more than 40 years of experience across the NHL, NFL, NBC Sports, Olympic broadcasting and emerging media businesses. His career spans live production, media rights, programming, digital distribution and broadcast technology.

At the NHL, Adamo founded NHL Productions and helped advance the League’s broadcast, production and content operations. He also spent 13 years in broadcasting, media operations and production leadership at the NFL, where he helped build and launch NFL Network. He currently serves as a media and strategy consultant to the NHL.

In his USHL advisory role, Adamo will help establish a shared approach to broadcast quality, pairing clear production expectations with practical guidance and collaboration among clubs. His work will also include evaluating media rights and distribution opportunities, strengthening digital and streaming initiatives, developing programming, and identifying production technologies that improve quality and efficiency.

The appointment supports the USHL’s broader commitment to elevating the player and fan experience while creating new opportunities for its member clubs and commercial partners.

“I’m excited to work with the USHL and help build on the League’s strong foundation,” said Adamo. “The USHL has a compelling story to tell: elite young players, passionate communities and an important role in the future of hockey. There is a tremendous opportunity to strengthen the League’s media presence, expand its audience and create new value through innovative content, broadcast and distribution strategies.”

Adamo was inducted into the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame in 2025. His career includes leadership roles in coverage of four Olympic Games, Wimbledon, the French Open, NFL football and NHL hockey.
