For the second straight year, the USHL will host its development series at the Cornerstone Community Center in Green Bay. Entering their 15
th year, USHL combines create opportunities for prospective players to showcase their talent in front of league personnel and learn about the USHL’s player development path.
The Phase I and Phase II combines give USHL and NCAA personnel opportunities to evaluate talent before the USHL Draft on May 5-6. This year, more than 1,000 players born between 2007-2012 are expected to attend the Phase I, Phase II and Player Development combines.
“We are excited to return to Green Bay,” USHL Director of Player Personnel Frank Butler said. “USHL combines provide players exposure and education on their path to the USHL and beyond. Invitees of each combine will practice and play in front of USHL coaches, USHL scouts and NCAA coaches. We are looking forward to bringing many of the top young prospects from around the world to Wisconsin.”
Players invited to participate in the combines are pre-screened and scouted by USHL central scouting staff. Participating players will play five games and take part in off-ice physical and cognitive testing. There will also be opportunities for education and networking to help players better understand what it takes to play in the USHL.
“After a tremendous first year in Green Bay, we look forward to getting back to
Titletown,” USHL President & Commissioner Glenn Hefferan said. “We can’t wait to drop the puck.”
