Hampton Slukynsky Named 2024 USHL Goaltender of the Year
Force netminder becomes third Fargo player to win award

The United States Hockey League (USHL) and the Fargo Force have announced that Hampton Slukynsky has been named Goaltender of the Year for the 2023-24 season.

League awards are voted on by each member club’s General Manager after each club nominates its players for awards.

Committed to Northern Michigan University, Slukynsky led USHL goaltenders in wins with a 28-3-0-0 regular-season record with the Fargo Force this season. Slukynsky’s 1.86 goals against average and .923 save percentage also led the League, as did his five shutouts.

Slukynsky, a member of this year's All-USHL First Team who helped the Force to the Anderson Cup as the 2023-24 USHL regular-season champions, had a career-high 37 saves in a 2-1 win over Sioux Falls April 12.

Named USHL Goaltender of the Week three times in 2023-24, Slukynsky was drafted in the fourth round (#118) by the Los Angeles Kings in 2023 and helped Team USA win a bronze medal at this year’s World Junior A Challenge.

Slukynsky, a Warroad, Minn., native joins Zack McIntyre (2012) and Mike Lee (2009) as Force players to be named USHL Goaltender of the Year.
