USA Hockey Announces Roster for U18 Men’s National Team
IIHF U18 World Championship gets underway Thursday in Finland

USA Hockey announced today its roster comprising the U.S. Under-18 Men's National Team for the 2024 IIHF Under-18 Men’s World Championship, April 25-May5, in Espoo and Vantaa, Finland.

The roster is made up of 22 players that saw action in the United States Hockey League this winter and is coached by USA Hockey National Team Development head coach Nick Fohr.




























The U.S. will compete in Group A alongside Finland, Latvia, Norway and Slovakia, and will open tournament play against Slovakia on April 25 at 7:00 a.m. ET. All Team USA games will broadcast live on NHL Network.

In 2023, the U.S. competed in Group B alongside Finland, Latvia, Norway and Switzerland and went 4-0-0-0 (W-OTW-L-OTL) in the preliminary round before defeating Czechia, 4-1, in the quarterfinals and Slovakia, 7-1, in the semifinals. The U.S. battled Sweden in the gold-medal game and came from behind to win 3-2 in overtime.

The U.S. has won gold 11 times at the IIHF Under-18 Men's World Championship and has captured five silver medals and three bronze medals at the competition. The U.S. won its first gold at the event in 2002.
