Hage, Katin and Moffatt earn league honors for outstanding performances last week

 Michael Hage (Chicago), Mikhail Katin (Omaha) and Gavin Moffatt (Green Bay) have earned United States Hockey League (USHL) Player of the Week honors for Week 25, the league announced Monday.

Forward of the Week
Michael Hage | Chicago | Mississauga, Ont.
NCAA Commitment: Michigan
Birth Year: 2006
  • 3 GP, 4 goals, 4 assists, 8 points, 15 shots on goal and +6 in helping Chicago to a 3-0-0-0 record last week
  • Led the USHL in points and goals last week
  • Scored twice and had two assists (including one on the game-winning goal) in a 4-2 win at Green Bay last Wednesday
  • Had a goal and an assist in a 6-1 win at Lincoln Friday
  • Had a goal and assisted on the game-wining goal in a 3-2 victory at Lincoln Saturday
  • Currently in the midst of an eight-game point-scoring streak (7-10—17)
  • Stands tied for third in the USHL in scoring with 65 points on 30 goals and 35 assists
  • Now a two-time USHL Forward of the Week this year
Defenseman of the Week
Mikhail Katin | Omaha | Moskva, Russia
Birth Year: 2006 
  • 3 GP, 2 goals, 2 assists, 4 points, +5 plus-minus rating, 5 shots on goal in helping Omaha to two wins last week
  • Scored first career USHL goal in 4-3 overtime win over Lincoln last Thursday
  • Scored the game-winner, had two assists and was +6 in a 7-3 home win over Sioux Falls Friday
  • Has 2-3—5 with 16 shots on goal in 19 games with Omaha after coming over in a trade with Muskegon 
Goaltender of the Week
Gavin Moffatt | Green Bay | Darien, Conn.
Birth Year: 2004
  • 2 GP, 2-0-0-0, 119:00 minutes, 2 GA, 67 saves, 1.01 goals against average, 0.968 save percentage
  • Stopped 27 of 28 shots in 5-1 home win over Des Moines last Friday
  • Had 30 saves on 31 shots in a 4-1 home win over Waterloo Saturday
  • Has had at least 30 saves in a game eight times in 19 appearances this season
  • Stands 10-5-2-1 on the season with a 3.05 goals against average and a .902 save percentage on the year
