The United States Hockey League takes a team-by-team look ahead of the 2023 NHL Draft.

Including two last year when Alex Bump was selected 133rd overall by Philadelphia and Jared Wright went 169th to Los Angeles, the Omaha Lancers have had at least one player selected in 32-straight NHL Drafts, dating back to the 1991 Draft. In all, Omaha has had 79 players selected in the NHL Draft.

Lancers who have been selected the highest in the NHL draft include defenseman Cal Foote (Omaha 2014-15), who was pick 14th overall by Tampa in 2017 and forward Louis Leblanc, who played for Omaha in 2008-09 and was selected by Montreal with the 18th overall selection in the 2009 NHL Draft.

The Prague, Czech Republic native saw action in 31 games and completed the 2022-23 regular season with a 9-14-4-3 overall record, 2.86 goals against average and a .908 save percentage. Named USHL All-Rookie First Team, he was named USHL Goaltender of the Week  at the end of March after he posted a 1-0-0 record and stopped 42 shots for a 0.75 goals against average and 0.977 save percentage in two appearances.  He had 35 saves in 4-0 road shutout win at Waterloo March 25th during that span. He played for the Czech Republic at the U18 IIHF World Junior Championship, which included a 48-save performance in a 4-1 loss against to Team USA in the quarter-finals.
