The RoughRiders honored the men and women who protect our freedom on Saturday night by hosting an Armed Services Night in conjunction with the U.S. Army. A special presentation of the colors and an intermission swearing in ceremony highlighted the evenings festivities.
In game action, Jeff Costello scored in regulation and had the deciding shootout goal as the RoughRiders were the only home team to win on Saturday night in the USHL. Bryce Aneloski netted his 14th goal of the season for Cedar Rapids. The RoughRiders scored on four of five shootout attempts and goaltender Troy Grosenick made 29 saves to win his eighth straight start. Chase Grant scored two goals in regulation and converted in the shootout for the Force. Fargo goaltender Dayn Belfour made a season high 46 saves in the loss.
