Former Sioux City Musketeers forward Andrew Rowe has signed an entry-level NHL contract with the Philadelphia Flyers.

Rowe spent two seasons in the USHL with the Sioux City Musketeers (2005-07).  During his second year in the League, he appeared in all 60 regular season games and collected 34 points (19g, 15a).  Five of his goals were game-winners, which led the Musketeers.  The forward recorded his first career hat trick in the 10-1 victory vs. Lincoln on February 10th, 2007 and finished that season riding a five-game point streak (4g, 2a).  Rowe completed his USHL career scoring 50 points (27g, 23a) in 110 total games while chipping in three points (2g, 1a) in seven playoff contests.

The 22-year-old native of Muskegon, Michigan recently completed his junior season at Michigan State University in which he served as a team alternate captain.  He had a breakout season offensively in 2009-10, finishing fourth on the squad in scoring with 28 points (17g, 11a) over 38 games while ranking second in both goals (17) and plus/minus (+12).  Over his three-year collegiate career, he registered 49 points (26g, 23a) in 94 games for the Spartans.

Rowe is the 25th alumni of the USHL to sign a NHL contract this spring following the NCAA hockey season.  Eighteen of those were undrafted free agents while seven were previously selected in the NHL Entry Draft.
