USHL.com presents the next installment in a series of features which bring the fans closer to the game and give an inside look at the nation's top junior hockey league. "Get to Know" takes you one-on-one with USHL players, who are the best and brightest hockey talent and the future of American hockey.
Patrick Divjak (div-ee-ack) has collected 32 points (17g, 15a) while playing all 45 games for the Waterloo Black Hawks this season. He leads the team with 10 power play goals which also ranks second overall in the League. The 20-year-old native of Vienna, Austria is in his third USHL season after playing the previous two years for the Sioux Falls Stampede. He is two points shy of 100 for his USHL career having recorded 98 points (42g, 56a) in 156 total games. Next fall, he will play collegiate hockey at Niagara University.
Divjak recently took a few moments to share a little about himself and let you "Get to Know" the forward.
Siblings: I have a younger sister, Denise who is 12-years-old.
Nicknames: "Divy" and "Divs".
Last book read: Hockey Tough by Saul Miller
Favorite TV show: Prison Break, a great show about a brother that goes to jail in order to break out his brother to prove his innocence.
Favorite movie: Gran Torino, great movie with one of the greatest actors of all time - Clint Eastwood.
Hobbies/leisure activities: I love playing soccer during the summer and I love to wakeboard.
Favorite meal: Chicken Alfredo. I have to have it before every game.
Favorite ice cream flavor: That would probably be Vanilla.
Favorite USHL arena: Young Arena in Waterloo. It's one of the best arenas in junior hockey.
Funniest hockey memory: When I was 14, my dad was our coach and our goalies played so bad that he switched them every whistle. That was hilarious.
Languages spoken: English, German, and some French.
Embarrassing hockey memory: When I was 11, I put my jersey on the wrong way with the number in front and nobody told me until the ref saw it right before the puck dropped.
Favorite NHL player: Thomas Vanek because he is from my home country. (Vanek played in the USHL with the Sioux Falls Stampede for three seasons, 1999-2002, and was named All-USHL First Team in 2001-02 while also twice selected to play in the USHL All-Star Game)
Favorite sports to watch outside of hockey: Football and soccer.
Last vacation: Italy last summer, one of my favorite places for summer vacation.
Favorite breakfast cereal: Lucky Charms
Most memorable game: When I won the gold medal with Team Austria at World Junior Division 1 Championship in Denmark.

Game day superstitions: I always juggle a ball 100 times before I go get dressed.
Favorite song: Show Me Love by Michael Mind. It's a techno song.
Musical tastes: Pretty much anything, especially techno.
First job: I worked at a post office.
Strangest game: When my teammate scored a hat trick at the final game of the World Junior Division 1 Championship. They were all empty net goals in the last two minutes. We won the game 7-3.
Anything else: I like to go tanning with my teammate Brady Vail.
