Waterloo Black Hawks 4 @ Omaha Lancers 7
Erik Haula scored two goals in the first period for the Lancers but wasn't done there as he added two more goals in the third period for a four-goal game. Haula also dished out two assists for a six-point night matching a League season high. Matt White extended his point streak to six games in a big way by collecting five points (2g, 3a), including the game-winning goal for Omaha. Zach Palmquist netted two goals for Waterloo while Jeff Teglia collected his League best seventh win in goal for the Lancers.
Des Moines Buccaneers 4 @ Youngstown Phantoms 5
The Phantoms completed a two-game sweep of the Bucs and won their fourth straight contest. Youngstown built a 5-1 lead on goals from five different skaters including Nick Czinder who scored for the second straight night. Des Moines stormed back with the next three goals. Despite outshooting their opponent 50-30, it wasn't enough for the Bucs as Jordan Tibbett made 46 saves for the Phantoms to win his third straight start.
Tri-City Storm 1 @ Sioux Falls Stampede 2
The Stampede knocked off one of the hottest teams in the League by holding them to just 13 shots on goal. Matt Bailey scored his third goal in the past two games and extended his point streak to four games for the Stampede while teammate Jacob Johnstone scored a goal for the second straight game and also pushed his point streak to four games. Goaltender Lino Chimienti made just 12 saves for Sioux Falls but remained unbeaten this season (5-0-0).
Green Bay Gamblers 5 @ Cedar Rapids RoughRiders 1
It was all Green Bay as William Kessel scored two goals in the second frame and Travis Lynch scored his first two USHL goals to help the Gamblers build a 5-0 lead. Goaltender Steve Summerhays was on his way to a third shutout in as many starts until RoughRiders forward Jordan DiGiando scored a goal for the second straight game with just 2:25 remaining in the third period.
Chicago Steel 1 @ Fargo Force 4
Corey Leivermann scored two goals and added two assists to help the Force snap a three-game losing streak. Cole Gunner tallied three assists for Fargo as they outshot the Steel 35-12. Goaltender Cody Campbell had his shutout bid spoiled with just 1:34 remaining in the game when Steel defenseman Mark Adams scored his first goal of the season.
