Tri-City Storm 3 @ Youngstown Phantoms 1
The Storm won their third straight after a weekend sweep of the Phantoms. Tri-City forwards Brett Mohler, Radoslav Illo, and Maxwell Tardy all scored a goal for the second consecutive game while Jaden Schwartz collected two assists for his third straight multi-point game. Steven Bolton made his regular season debut in net and stopped 31 Phantoms shots to registered his first USHL win. Adam Berkle scored the lone goal for Youngstown, his second of the season.
Omaha Lancers 4 @ Sioux City Musketeers 1
Omaha remained atop the West Division standings by collected their third straight victory. Defenseman Mathieu Brisson tallied his first goal of the season for the Lancers and teammate Danny Mattson scored a goal for the second straight night. Dennis Brown dished out two assists and Jeff Teglia made 18 saves between the pipes earning his fourth win of the year. The Musketeers' lone goal was scored by Chase Drake, his first career USHL goal.
Lincoln Stars 2 @ Des Moines Buccaneers 3
Brandon Carlson scored his first goal of the season as a part of a two-goal first period for the Buccaneers. John McCarron scored his first goal as the Stars evened the game in the second period. Another first happened with just one second remaining before the second intermission as Eric Knodel found the back of the net for the first time this season scoring the game-winner for Des Moines. All three goals by the Bucs were scored on the power play and team scoring leader T.J. Tynan assisted on all three.
Indiana Ice 0 @ Green Bay Gamblers 3
The Gamblers avenged their overtime loss from the previous night by shutting out the Ice. Goaltender Steve Summerhays stopped all 24 Indiana shots for his second career USHL shutout win. Defenseman Max Hartner scored his first goal of the season while Sam Alfieri and Chris Crane also tallied goals for the Gamblers.
Chicago Steel 4 @ Sioux Falls Stampede 3
The Stampede took control of the game building a 3-0 lead including the first of the season by Marcus Perrier and the second in as many games for Michael Voran. However, the Steel turn things around scoring three goals in the second period, including two in less than two minutes by Andrew Schmit. USHL goal leader Mark Anthoine also netted a pair, including the shorthanded game-winner in the third period.
Fargo Force 3 @ Waterloo Black Hawks 7
J.T. Brown scored two goals early in the contest starting with a tally at just 39 seconds after the first puck drop. He added three assists for a five-point game. The Force evened the game after the first 20 minutes, but the Black Hawks scored five more goals the rest of the way to capture their second win of the season. C.J. Motte made 39 saves in goal for Waterloo to earn the victory. The Black Hawks finished the game 3-of-6 on the power play. Matt Leitner had a two-point night (1g, 1a) for his fifth straight multi-point game.
Team USA 2 @ Cedar Rapids RoughRiders 7
Bryce Aneloski stole the show as he recorded the first hat trick of the 2009-10 USHL season by scoring three power play goals to lead Cedar Rapids to their sixth victory. He wasn't done there as he collected three assists on the night setting a USHL season high six-point game. Aneloski also set a League season high by firing 12 shots on goal. Zach Lehrke also had a pair of power play markers as the RoughRiders finished a very efficient 5-of-6 on the man advantage. Rocco Grimaldi registered his second goal in as many games for Team USA. Troy Grosenick picked up his fifth win of the season making 22 saves in goal for the RoughRiders.
