Indiana Ice goaltender Jon Gillies not only earned his 31st win of the season on Saturday during the 6-3 victory over the Des Moines Buccaneers, but he also got on the scoresheet in another way as he got credit for an empty net goal.
A centering pass by the Des Moines Buccaneers missed the target and went the length of the ice into their own empty net. Gillies was the last player from the Indiana Ice to play the puck, thus was given credit for the goal.
