University of Notre Dame players discuss the value of their time spent in the USHL prior to the collegiate level. Anders Lee, Jeff Costello, and Steven Summerhays are three of the 20 USHL alumni on the Notre Dame roster and were part of the outdoor game played at Soldier Field in Chicago on February 17th.

Anders Lee is a NHL Draft pick of the New York Islanders and had a huge impact for the Green Bay Gamblers during the 2009-10 season.  He tied for the regular season lead with 35 goals, was named USHL Rookie of the Year, led the Gamblers to the Clark Cup title, and earned Playoff MVP.

Jeff Costello was a member of the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders for two seasons (2008-10) and was not only a top scorer for the team but valuable physical presence in the USHL.  He was selected by the Ottawa Senators in the 2009 NHL Draft following his rookie season in the USHL.

Steven Summerhays spent two seasons with the Green Bay Gamblers (2008-10) and led them to the Clark Cup title in 2010.  He was named USHL Goaltender of the Year for the 2009-10 season and finished his career in the League with 46 regular season victories and 11 playoff wins.
