On a night when the Stanley Cup was in the building and many eyes were on the historic trophy, Dylan McLaughlin did everything he could to steal everyone's attention.
The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders forward scored a creative goal in Saturday's game against Green Bay. Just over five minutes into the second period, the 17-year-old not only scored his third goal of the season, but one that will leave a lasting impression when he flipped the puck from between his legs and over the goaltender's shoulder into the net.
The goal came only moments after the Stanley Cup was on the ice during the first intermission for a special presentation with former RoughRiders assistant coach Mark Mullen, a scout with the Los Angeles Kings.
