Please note that the numbers of players born in 1992 that are selected in the upcoming USHL Entry Draft will be limited. Players from the 1992 birth year will see heavily increased numbers in the 2008 USHL Futures Draft in October as well as in the 2009 USHL Entry Draft.

About the Ratings

4: Player is an absolute super star and there is no question he will play in the NHL.

3: Player will be an NHL draft pick and a top end player in Division 1 NCAA college.

2: Player is an outstanding player and will play NCAA Division 1 college hockey. Several of these players will also turn out to be NHL draft selections.

1: Player brings a talent or quality to the game, that may allow him to play NCAA Division 1 college hockey or be an NHL draft selection, and therefore must continue to be scouted.

Understand that players progress or regress on a monthly/yearly basis and this progression or regression never stops. Top rated players today are often lower rated players tomorrow while lower rated players can ascend quickly.

The NHL draft does not occur until a player is 18. The average age of an NCAA freshmen is 19. The average age of an NHL rookie is 22. All players must realize what they do on the ice, in the gym and in the classroom over the next number of years will ultimately determine their fate and not a subjective snapshot in time at 15 years of age.
