Maiani scored a pair of goals in Friday's win over Chicago, including the game-winner. He added a pair of assists on Saturday to complete the sweep of Chicago and help Sioux City win its 7th in a row and be named the USHL/Applebee's Offensive Player of the Week. He's the second winner from Sioux City this season, joining Max Pacioretty as a previous winner.

Wingels scored one goal and one assist each night in a weekend split with Des Moines. His goal on Saturday night was a power play marker. All four of his points came in the third period.

Pacioretty, a native of New Canaan, Conn. has been named the USHL/KCAU TV Channel 9 Offensive Player of the Week. In two games, Pacioretty scored 3-2- 5, including scoring the game winning goal each game. He also set up a shorthanded goal for the Musketeers on Saturday night while they were at a 6- on-4 disadvantage. The scoring outburst allowed Pacioretty to jump into the top five in league scoring.

Phillippi scored 3-1-4 in two home wins over Lincoln on the weekend. On Saturday night, Phillippi recorded a hat trick, one of the goals being the game winner, in their 6-5 win. Phillippi was also a +5 for the weekend and is now tied for the league lead in defenseman scoring.

Cepis scored a hat trick in Friday's 10-3 win over Chicago. One of his goals was scored on the power play. He later added a goal and an assist in Saturday's 6-2 win, also over Chicago. The big weekend vaulted Cepis into second place on the league scoring chart.

LaPoint had two assists in Saturday's 7-4 home opening win over Indiana, then followed it up with a power play goal and an assist in Sunday's 5-4 win, also over Indiana. LaPoint is now tied for the league lead in defenseman scoring with 5 points in 3 games.

Brown (Gardner, Kans.) starred for Lincoln on opening weekend with 6 points in two games. He scored 2-1-3 in Friday's 8-1 win over Omaha and followed it up with 1-2-3 in a 7-2 win over Sioux Falls. Runner-up: Isak Tranvik of Waterloo (2 GP, 2-1-3+2, GWG).
Llewellyn (Ann Arbor, Mich.) only had one point on the weekend, but he made it count, scoring an unassisted goal at 2:37 of overtime to lift the Storm to a 3-2 win over Omaha and improve to 2-0 on the season. Runner-up: David Brack of Lincoln (2GP, 2-1-3, -1).
